What Should I Bring to Class?
After registering for your class, please download a free copy of the California Notary Public Handbook and the Notary Public Application. We strongly recommend typing your information directly into the application before printing. Typed applications help reduce processing delays and data entry mistakes.

Please bring the following items to class:

One valid photo ID, current or issued within the past 5 years:
• California Driver’s License or DMV Identification Card
• Canadian or Mexican Driver’s License
• U.S. Passport or Foreign Passport
• U.S. Military Identification CardNo other forms of identification will be accepted.
Completed and printed Notary Public application
One 2” x 2” color passport style photo
Passport photos are available in class for an additional feePayment made payable to “Secretary of State”:
• $40 for new applicants and renewals
• $20 for applicants retaking the exam after a failed attemptThe applicant’s name must be pre printed on the check. Temporary checks are not accepted. Cash and credit cards are not accepted.
Two sharpened No. 2 pencils
One pen and one yellow highlighter for note taking in the study materials

Class rescheduling is permitted with at least 72 hours notice prior to your scheduled class date.
Cancellations are only accepted up to 14 days before the class date.
Please note, once attendance information is submitted to the state exam proctors, our company is financially responsible for registered attendees, including no shows.
