Notarization Fee Increase

It’s finally here!

Notarization fee has increased from $10 to $15.California has changed

The maximum allowed fee per signature to $15 instead of $10 that it had been previously. David Hadley, Assembly Member authored Assembly Bill 2217, was contacted by thousands of Commissioned Notaries Public encouraging the change. AB 2217 raises the limit on notarization fees per signature from $10 to $15.

This applies to Acknowledgments and Jurats. This applies to other notarial acts. What this means for us? Every signature that requires notarization will now increase by $5. So if you are notarizing a document for a Husband and Wife, that equals TWO signatures requiring notarization.

You would charge $15 each per document. One document with TWO signatures equals $30.
